There aren't really any good inherent faith weapons in ds1 unfortunately. There's maybe a case for grant but that still does split damage and is no better than great club. The best buffed weapons are Falchion (or any curved sword really), Balder Side Sword and maybe Ricard's rapier for pve and spam the strong attack.
