Crit chance and crit damage are non-options on a devastating attrition felarx, so base damage becomes one of the better available stats for pushing dps since the pool of potential damage-increasing stats is smaller. There are some weapons that are just so insanely good, that any riven for them is a good thing, even if it has bad rolls it can just be re-rolled for something good.
