The refresh rate doesn’t matter to me as long as it’s not lower than 60. Overall it seems quite strange that you game on a 4K 60 Hz monitor when you have the 144 Hz G-sync monitor. I can definitely recommend going ultrawide as the multitasking advantage is incredible, and it definitely improves productivity.

Posted October 9, 2022. You don't pay royalties for vga or dvi - hdmi requires a license and payment of royalties. DisplayPort doesn't require payments if my memory is correct. Still lots of hardware out there in poorer countries with vga only output for integrated graphics and adding a vga connector on a monitor is cheap.
