In terms of damage, they both hits hard and fast. Odachi's waking winds and sunset breeze works almost the same like SwitchGlaive switch stance. Switch to Odachi move seems to have a good "break" damage.

Applying a mystic dyad for switchglaive straight up allows you to combo for eternity, especially if you're using a corruption weapon. Combined with barrier, ultimate courage, ultimate magic, path of the demon, and carnage, you're straight up just melting some bosses with unlimited combos from the increased attack/decreased ki usage.
