With the right build and buffs, you can get plenty of hits on iterative attacks. Even half of what he estimates is still a good amount of damage. Knife master gets d8 sneak attacks instead of d6. Also knife master can use more than just daggers. . Eg kukuri, star knife etc.

Main class i like to make slayer (optimally deliverer), at least 10 lvl, but preferably 12. Needs at least 3 lvl of knife master, for full finesse. And i like it with a vivisectionist dip 1 to 4 lvl. Needs full crane line and the aldori dueling mastery feats, and of course all the weapon focus/ specialization you can grab.
