The Ascent CVT transmission fluid Is a new formula made just for the new Ascent transmission. All other fluids will end up in transmission failure. 2. The transmission fluid is to be filled and topped off at a very precise transmission temperature.

The leak I have, is minor and I only noticed it built up around the sway bar. Not enough of a leak to be seen on the driveway (even after a few days).

News and rumors have hybrids coming to the majority of the Subaru lineup starting in 2024/2025, including the Ascent in 2024. I doubt that timeline is still accurate, if it ever was to begin with.
