From the Villa del Palmar you can not see the Arch. You will need to take a Water Taxi or some other tour to see the arch. Following up on No. 5 above, Maro's Shrimp House might be a good choice. It's not on the beach, but it's got a fun atmosphere. It's right on Hidalgo across the street from La Dolce. Much cheaper price point than The Office. Good but not great food. No regular live music, but they frequently get Mariachi musicians.

It doesn't look to be a major hurricane so there should be minimal damage at most resorts. The workers work quickly to clean up and there should only be a day or 2 of minimal disruption.
